Are the Significant Ionospheric Anomalies Associated with the 2007 Great Deep-Focus Undersea Jakarta–Java Earthquake?

چکیده

This work is an attempt to critically analyze the correlation between great deep-focus undersea earthquake and possible ionospheric anomalies. The significant TEC (total electron content) temporal spatial anomalies were detected over epicenter of 2007 Mw7.5 Jakarta–Java earthquake, they coincide well with striking plasma in ionosphere situ observed by LEO (low Earth orbit) satellite. localization synchronization disturbances during suggest that these are highly related this large earthquake. In order identify correlation, we made efforts distinguish seismo-associated signals from electromagnetic noise due solar geomagnetic activities, natural non-seismic sources known artificial signals. Nevertheless, difficulties should be recognized approached caution. special (deep-focus undersea) case study here provides us valuable information on lithosphere–atmosphere–ionosphere (LAI) coupling process reminds seismic events need treated more carefully discreetly future.
